Didn't get to go 'home' for the 1st, as is tradition, and that was sad. We did get up to Timothy's Aunt's for the 4th and we had lots of fun. We camped there Friday night and she had a guy come who does this whole mountain man show. It was cute and the kids loved him. Well, Emma did. Kaylee wasn't sure what to think of the dead bear around his neck. Neither did I. But he told some funny stories and jokes and it was entertaining.

Saturday morning was the annual run/walk. Timothy, of course, ran (he also had knee surgery two months ago...). I think he did better this year than last though so, I guess that means he's fully recovered? That's him coming in. Sorry my pictures are so blurry.

After the run, it's off to the parade. We just finished the bag of candy that we hauled away. Emma loves the parade, Kaylee may have been too tired to enjoy it. But her sister dutifully brought her a piece of candy every now and then as she sat huddled in my lap. The most interesting entry was this man. Riding a cow. Yes, that's right. Never seen anything like it. And the cow was huge. Barely shorter than the horses. Odd.

And those are all the pictures that I have from the 4th. Pathetic, I know. For those of you who are wondering, I did not see Davey (that's what those of us who are close to him call David Letterman. Although I'm sure he was there. I decided not to be a stalker this year.)
And one more cute shot. We started doing a babysitting hand off with some friends for date night. Lucky for us, their little girl is the sweetest thing in the world. And she looks like she fits right in here.

Too cute. Well, that, in a nutshell, is our July. My sister and her kids were here this week and I don't think that I even picked up a camera so, no pictures of that. But it was way more than a blast!
