Kaylee’s Birthday.

Internet speeds can make such a difference in one’s life, wouldn’t you agree? It’s really kind of sad. We’ve been having some struggles lately and finally, last week, had some better service installed. Hooray! So, now it’s time for some serious updating. First, Kaylee’s birthday. My sweet baby turned 5! I can hardly believe it. She is so big, and so ready for school in the fall! She’s ready to say goodbye to Mom for hours, if not days. That’s the problem when you live with a copy of yourself… you tend to butt heads. (right, Mom?) Anyway, after much debate, my little girl, who loves dress up and princesses, chose a pirate party. It was super random but tons of fun. We had some surprise company (for the kids, anyway) when Mom and Dad and my sister and her family came. The kids were ecstatic to see their cousins, we really don’t see them enough, and it was one of the best presents she could have received. Mom Allred also came for the event and provided a very real looking treasure chest for our pirate booty. We had a great time, thanks to all the fam for coming, and all the friends. Kaylee appears quite shy at first glance but she is very friendly and outgoing and makes friends really easily. So, we invited 18 kids. I think 1 was not able to make it! Thank goodness the weather cooperated and our new fence was finished!

The cake. It’s supposed to be a treasure map, that brown lump is supposed to be a ship. As my sister pointed out, it looks like a poo log. That kind of ruins the whole look of the cake.
